Production of the Hummel figurines started in 1935, when the porcelain factory owner Franz Goebel found the drawings of Franciscan sister, Berta Hummel, which represented Bavarian children. Soon after the Hummel figurines came into life.
The hand made and hand painted Bavarian porcelain figurines represent in most of the cases the artwork of 40 craftsmen and women, who are involved in the production of a single piece. They are small, charming and bring us back the happy times of childhood as one of the main reason’s of their popularity.
The German Goebel porcelain factory founded its collectors program in 1977, having various international societies. In the US there are nearly 200.000 Club members, while in Europe more than 60.000 Collectors, but there is more and more interest in Japan as well. By subscribing to the Collectors Club one can purchase world-famous Hummel figurines out of normal retail trade.
Membership fee: For one year 7.500 HUF, while for 2 years 12.000 HUF
